Better Together

Organizations that serve crime victims — child advocacy centers, multidisciplinary teams, domestic violence programs, health systems, and government victim services divisions — do some of the most demanding work in any community. The people who lead and staff these programs spend their days collaborating and caring for others, often while carrying heavy administrative burdens with limited time, staff, or resources.

I've spent more than 30 years in this field, and I've learned — and experienced firsthand — how easily that work can start to feel overwhelming, even isolating. Easing that administrative burden is the reason I started this business. Whether you're running a CAC, coordinating an MDT, leading a DV program, or managing victim services within a health system or government agency, I'd like to help ease the workload so you can focus more on the mission.

My Background

After earning a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and working with children and families in a variety of settings, I was hired as a Forensic Interviewer at a Child Advocacy Center in Portland, Oregon. I fell in love with the work and the multidisciplinary, team-based approach to serving crime victims. Most of all, I was inspired by the strength and courage of the survivors we served, and humbled by their willingness to trust us to help them.

Over the past three decades, I've served in a number of capacities at local, state, and national levels, including:

• Executive Director, CARES Northwest

• Director of Strategic Initiatives and Development, National Children's Alliance

• Grant Fund Coordinator, Oregon Department of Justice Crime Victim and Survivor Services Division

• Board of Directors, National Children's Alliance

• Board of Directors, State Chapter of Oregon's CACs

• Member, Multnomah and Washington County Child Abuse Multidisciplinary Teams

• Member, Washington County Public Safety Coordinating Council

My roots are in child abuse response, and that remains an area of deep expertise. But the skills built over 30 years — nonprofit operations, multi-agency coordination, grant administration, board governance, program accreditation — apply broadly across the crime victim services field, including domestic violence programs, health systems, and government agencies working to support survivors.
